Jesus used the occasion of healing the man blind from birth to point out the reprehensibility of the Pharisees because they professed to be those with spiritual sight and willfully refused to come out of their blind condition. The Same can be said about Christendom today......They were like those who loved darkness rather than light. (Joh 9:39-41; 3:19, 20) The apostle Paul spoke to the Ephesian congregation about having the eyes of their heart enlightened. (Eph 1:16, 18) Jesus points out that those who profess to be Christians but who are not conscious of their spiritual need are blind and naked, not discerning their pitiful, condition. (Re 3:17) Just as being in darkness for a long period of time will cause blindness to the natural eyes, the apostle John points out that a Christian who hates his brother is walking aimlessly in a blinding darkness (1Jo 2:11); and Peter warns that one not developing Christian fruitage, the greatest of which is love, is “blind, shutting his eyes to the light.” (2Pe 1:5-9) The source of such darkness and spiritual blindness is Satan the Devil, who, transforming himself into an angel of light, actually is “the god of this system of things” and the god of darkness who has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so that they do not discern the good news about the Christ.—Lu 22:53; 2Co 4:4; 11:14, 15.

I am a pottery teacher and my pupils use decayed rock to make their pots which are fired and change from mud to stone, and so the cycle of erosion begins again. I see it as a never ending cycle, things are made and grow and are taken down again.

Unhappy about having seizure disorder. Please help?

9 months ago I had a seizure. I was unable to drive for 3 months and went under MRI and EEG tests. Both tests came back negative and was told by my neurologist to just go on with my life and hope that it doesn't happen again, (essentially he wasn't able to figure out why it happened, it just happens to ppl) but then about a month ago I had another seizure. The difference with this one is that 5 days earlier I had run out of my clonazepam (I take it for anxiety, I have serious anxiety and depression) so having stopped the clonazepam cold turkey for 5 days, i felt AWFUL. Dizzy, weird, antsy, panicked, you name it. And ultimately had a seizure. I went back to the neurologist and found out that because I have now had two, I have seizure disorder and was put on lamictal (seizure medication.) They said that I have the predisposition to seizure, yet in both causes it was probably stress and anxiety that simply just triggered it. Next week I am going to have an extensive EEG done where I will have wires on my head for two days, so we'll see what happens with that... but i'm Very unhappy. :( both times it was a very scary experience, i had amnesia for awhile and was rushed to the hospital panicking. My chances of having another seizure in my life are 80%, statistically. I'm scared that it will happen again! I don't want to take seizure meds for the rest of my life! I've gone through so much the last thing i need is epilepsy and to fear having a seizure at anytime. I don't want it to get in the way of my life and hope it does not lessen me as a person. I'm in tears because seizures are hell and if i don't take these meds for the rest of my life i'll probly seizure all the time! FML. Please help.

I'm new to field hockey, should i buy a stick now or wait?

I am new to field hockey and just joined my High School's JV girls field hockey team. I have mo idea what position they will put me on, and i know there are different sticks for each position. I would love to practice technique at home for basic dribbling and other maneuvers. Should i buy like a used stick for like $20 or wait?

Have you ever wondered about time?

“Spend some time”. A phrase I heard today while sitting in the McDonald’s drive through waiting for my breakfast sandwich-which would be my fuel for the long work day ahead. It triggered my mind into a furious complex rumination of what it truly means to “spend time”. As if it were something we owned, and could exchange for other items or necessities, it was used as innocently and ignorantly as expected. Time is not of our owning, we are chained by it’s divinity-and shall forever perish to it’s might. Time has no mercy, nor forgiveness or emotion-compion or protection. Time does not fly, it does not slow nor pause, or stop-even whilst we lay motionless in our domain-time collapses our homestead as it pes-it decays and destroys us into nothingness as if to say goodbye to all we were. Legends shall be forgotten-our lives shall fade into the secrecy of the vault which holds all knowledge and truth of our existence. I am but a puppet to the master of time. My past, present, and future all belonging to my master-my fate rests in it’s hands. For every second that pes-it matters not to time, for it is the only thing to possess eternity. All shall chase the essence of immortality, but puppets can only move to the will of it’s master-and shall soon perish to it’s might. Truth is to come to terms and acknowledgment-as for happiness is not controlled by time-and time can not fade my spirit, or diminish my euphoria. Keep your sanity-society and normalcy-for I choose my own happiness and, now, in this present, and future-I leave a rift in the eternity of time.

Any reason why I'm interested in the "others" of our society?

Firstly, you sound like a very intelligent person and I commend you for being able to know yourself and you feelings so well. All people have their es (it doesn't have to be ual mind you) or things that grab our attention. I doubt you have a disorder but a great interest. Which is perfectly normal. There's no law that says you can't go out and make friends with these people. Just be polite and respectful.

...I dislike the word weak spineless coward as well and two wrongs never make a right, and you found your self doing exactly what you say he tried to do to you and/or others......I found that the constant predominant issue among the majority of those that bully, is often they are living with a great deal of inner pain...Bullying is very often a way to protect their self from ever being victimized again, which of course only works for so long anyway..They have not yet found an appropriate way to deal with their pain and talking about their feelings is seen as a sign of weakness, often ped down from one or both parents or a significant other....Not to justify their behaviours in any way, because they should always be help accountable, but there is always an explanation behind behaviours that are used to keep others away from us..If it is only words that a bully uses, which is not very often the case, then it is our choice to either address it in a respectful manner or to just walk away, and not allow what others say get to us, which is not just a bully's technique, but that of a great many people we learn to walk away from as we mature. He obviously got to you and you reacted, which is what some people look for in the first place...Standing up to a bully is always the right action to take, which should not be done alone, but in putting them down, or demeaning them instead of using words that would leave ones self respect in tact, one has just fuelled a continuing fire that is already out of control.. In using words like, a pest, insecure, mean, malicious, ugly, not smart, attention seeker, spineless coward, and toxic, you have also described many people who are not bullies, but people in need of counselling.....Being toxic to your "nice group" and in obviously not being welcomed by your group, is probably what set him off in the first place..I am quite sure he has heard these words more times than enough times and possibly the reason he feels as he does and trys to cover up the rejection and hurt by also using the same words you have...Maybe somewhere down the line you both will find some middle ground where in being cordial and respectful to each other could benefit both of you..

Is he blocking me from getting another job?

I am in limbo right now working for 2 depts. My current position is being phased out and another dept is taking me on in the same title. Lateral move... anyway... My mgr was supposed to tell me all about this months ago. What he told me was that my position was being phased out and there was little to no interest from the other dept on retaining me. I was understandable surprised when the manager of the other dept contacted me to begin meeting with me to discuss the transfer and an email went out giving my transfer date of 90 days from now. Yesterday my mgr told me not to pay attention to that email, it's not correct. This morning he told me that no one was supposed to contact me about the position and the date is wrong nothing is set in stone and I am still being phased out. WTF? What does that even mean? Can he fire me? He has expressed interest in the position himself. He took cles even. Could he be blocking the transfer? If this has already been told to me, who at this point do I not listen to? The VP of my dept confirmed I am transferring so what is my mgr trying to do?

Probably he will after he is completely recovered. Many of those with hip replacements due to arthritis do cycle. Personally I would worry more about the brain trauma.
