Bi-uality... Becoming a big joke?

A lot of men actively look for women because they think it will increase there chances of a so many otherwise straight women claim it as a way to get guys, there's also the fact that being bi is widely seen as being more acceptable to the straight community than being gay so a lot of gay people use the term for themselves to get by, so yes, it's extremely common. It is, however, unrealistic to blame any individuals actions on anyone but that specific individual so music, advertising, and cannot be actual causes, none of those things can effect someone who ignores them. Having been bi my entire life I've found that there is no way to tell whose being honest and who isn't except by their actions, as you learned about the woman you described, I agree it would nice if there was.
