Is this the right choice?

i plan on getting a 2010 dodge challenger r/t but people have told me they don't last long they say 80,000 miles at best and then they start to break down,i'm not looking for a car to last me a life time but i don't want to spend x amount of years paying it and then it dies on me what should i do?Expert advice appreciated.
