What is your general opinion on William Regal?

William Regal aka Darren Matthews is one of the greatest in ring technicians in the WWE today. He has generally been relegated to mid-card status all of his career because some fans just don't get his appeal. Both in the WCW and WWE he has been used to keep certain stars in-line when they step out of place by working them stiff. Two examples I can think of is in the WCW against Goldberg and in the WWE against Orton. He lost both those matches but if you watch carefully he dominated them both making them both look quite foolish and generally working them over quite hard. Goldberg and Orton were both over matched but Regal knew the people who signed the checks didn't want him to win so he eventually let them pin him. It is unfortunate that Regal has struggled with drugs because I think he is one of the greatest ets in the WWE.
